L.E.A.D Program 2023

Maersk’s Leadership Exploration And Development (LEAD) is a program designed to identify and develop young talents to become Maersk’s future leaders and top experts in Integrated Logistics and Supply Chain industry.

LEAD members will have plenty of tremendous opportunities to participate in worthwhile projects, deep dive into various functions of Maersk through well-planned rotations, and experience focused mentorship with Maersk’s Top Leaders in this 18-month program.

Our Functions
Customer Experience

Manage the service delivery to our customers and ensure they get the full value of our vast integrated solutions.

Sales

Find and develop new customers as well as ensuring the commitment of the current customers. Increasing company revenue by acquiring new business deals. Coordinating requirements and solutions globally. Developing and negotiating contracts with clients.

Fulfillment

The Omnichannel-Fulfilment offer a suite of integrated logistics and supply chain management services for customers in the Lifestyle, Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Retail, and Technology sectors. Provide and operate major regional hubs and consolidation centers to optimize inventory flow and ensure quick response to the customers.

Logistic and Services

Develop logistics solutions and products to satisfy the customer's needs (Warehouse, Transportation, Depots, etc.). Implement new projects and onboarding new customers. Manage daily operations and ensure the quality of all Maersk services.

Who we are looking for
Fresh graduate (or less than 2 years of experience)
Major in Supply Chain & Logisitics, Economics, Business Management or relating majors
GPA: >= 7.0/10 or >=3.0/4.0

I had the pleasure of overseeing the LEAD program at Maersk, and I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the program and the talent of the trainees. The program is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of all aspects of the company and the industry, bring a chance not only to understand the business insight but also Exposure and Development opportunities.

What I appreciated most about the program was the hands-on experience it provided the trainees. They were able to work on real projects, solve real problems, and receive real feedback from their mentors, they had chances to learn from different functions via rotation plan. This allows them to apply the theories they learned in the classroom to practical situations and see the immediate impact of it.

In August 2022, I have been selected to be one of the twelve members of LEAD 2022 and from here, a great journey starts.

The design of LEAD impressed me – an ambitious fresh graduate with a not-too-clear view about what I should do next on my career path to achieve my goals a lot with a clear, detailed & customized rotation plan for my 18 months with the program.

Along this journey, I’m never alone. The LEAD squad, the management board are always there, available for me to share and to learn from them so that we can grow and move up together. Using one word to describe my feeling for LEAD, it would be “grateful”. I’m grateful for all the things that LEAD has brought to me.

For me, being a member of LEAD program is an honor.

The journey of a LEAD is not easy with many challenges and pressures, but I have the guidance from an experienced mentor who is always ready to listen, support and guide me from the daily work, implementing projects to developing my own career path. There is a saying "if you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together", and I believe that the LEAD program will help me go as far as possible.

Joining Maersk's LEAD Program has been a greatest milestone in my career journey – such a turning point!

Working in the logistics industry, I am always eager to learn and experience as much as possible, both theoretically and practically, but I understand that this will takes time. Until I joined the LEAD Program, I was impressed that everything was in place to assist me in my development, and this is truly a place where I can reveal my best qualities. Managers, Team Leaders, and other LEAD members enthusiastically supported me by organizing courses to share their perspectives as well as career orientation, providing us with the most realistic experience and moreover, I was always given the opportunities to leave my own imprint with the team's full trust.

I believe it will still be a long journey with many challenges ahead, but for now, I'm so grateful to be a part of LEAD!
